Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Uncovered
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret group.
The mission centers on "strange trials and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an special katana together with several artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
